Our Mission

The Associated Students of the University of Washington is the democratic voice of students that engages the campus community through programming, services and advocacy. The ASUW strives to enrich student life and develop future leaders.

What is SARVA?

SARVA is a group of student volunteers committed to ending sexual assault and relationship violence through activism and education. We serve the UW community by providing programs and events that facilitate open discussion surrounding these issues.

How To Get Involved

Volunteers

  • Join a team of dedicated and passionate individuals
  • Help plan events, build community connections and help improve the visibility of SARVA
  • Choose your level of responsibility by volunteering day of, planning and implementing projects or events with teams members and your intern leader, or spearheading your own creative ideas!

Internships

  • Fill one of our leadership roles in social media, event planning, and communications!
  • Manage a team of volunteers to work on events and projects!

 
Training: Join one of our TWO quarter-long trainings! (winter apps go live Fall 2015)

  • Apply for either our Winter or Spring Quarter trainings
  • Learn about consent, alcohol and sexual assault, campus issues, healthy relationships and relationship violence, supporting a survivor and more
  • Equip yourself to be a catalyst of change in your communities by becoming educated in the complexity of these issues
