How did you get involved with ASUW?
I became involved within the ASUW my third year at the University of Washington as a Mentor in the UW Leaders program. Through this program I was connected with a lot of motivated and empowering people who encouraged me to become more involved in the Association and run for a position on the Board of Directors.

What does your job entail?
As Vice President, I act as a Chief of Staff and Chief Operating Officer of the Association by overseeing the Board of Directors, all the internal functions, the ASUW’s enterprises and services, leadership development, and all Association Volunteers. I am really excited to collaborate with all of our Employees and Volunteers on a variety of projects and looking forward to being a resource for those interested in getting more involved. I want to help ensure that the ASUW does its best to serve students across campus.

Favorite part of working for the ASUW?
My favorite thing about working for ASUW is the people. It’s pretty great to have the chance to come to work every day and collaborate with such a diverse and motivated group of individuals who help create positive change on our campus in so many different ways.

What career do you hope to pursue long term?
When I grow up I want to be a Speech-Language Pathologist and work to diagnose and treat pediatric communication disorders. Immediately after graduation I hope to travel and work abroad, and apply to graduate school!
