How did you get involved with ASUW?
When I was the Director of the Peer Health Educators last year, one of my roommates asked for my help on ASUW Student Senate legislation regarding sexual violence prevention. That roommate was Roy Taylor—the current Director of University Affairs. He eventually invited me to join what would later become the Every Husky ticket in last Spring’s ASUW election.
What does your job entail?
I work with departments like HFS, Athletics, and the Book Store to make sure they’re meeting the needs of all students. I also get to do awesome things like manage the Husky Pride Fund Scholarship and expand game-day opportunities for the Dawg Pack.
Favorite part of working for the ASUW?
The amazing group of students who lead the rest of the Association! They’re hilarious and passionate and wonderful and driven and working with them inspires me to be the best leader I can be. Also 24 hour access to the HUB.
What career do you hope to pursue long term?
I’d love to work as a sexual violence prevention policy advisor. Or do community outreach and education for Planned Parenthood. Or be Waka Flocka Flame’s personal assistant. Any of the three would be great.
